Palazzo del Mar
"The house turned out to be perfect for a quiet holiday with friends. It satisfied our every need -- and if anything else was necessary, we were able to count on the owners Vincent and Gail, who were completely available to us. The house also offers a wonderful view of the sea and the beach is just a few meters from the house."

"La casa si è rivelata perfetta per trascorrere una vacanza tranquilla tra amici. La struttura ha soddisfatto ogni nostra esigenza e in caso di necessità abbiamo potuto contare sui proprietari Vincent e Gail che si sono sempre mostrati molto disponibili nei nostri confronti. La casa offre inoltre una meravigliosa vista sul mare e la spiaggia è a pochi metri da casa."

"We stayed in July, 2019 -- a diverse group of 10 people, from 11 to 60 years. The house is easily accessible by car, and has private parking. Large and comfortable rooms, vintage furniture. The four bathrooms are completely renovated. Modern and well-equipped kitchen, with two ovens, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer. Two large terraces where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. The terrace has a southern exposure, making it convenient for hanging laundry thanks to the presence of numerous clotheslines. There's a garden with fruit trees, with fruit available to guests; we made an excellent plum jam. The many beautiful beaches are easily reachable on foot in a few minutes; in front of the villa, there is a beach of white pebbles reachable by simply crossing the road. The hosts are two friendly Americans always available to advise and have a chat. There's a shopping center a few minutes away by car ... there's the town of Vasto with wide sandy beaches and restaurants, and San Vito Chietino, where in the evening, one can enjoy excellent ice cream and take a pleasant walk near the trabocco. Everything you need for the beach -- umbrellas, sun beds, towels -- are present on site. And inside the house, towels and bed linens are even included. Positive experience -- more than recommended."

"Lovely and unique house situated just steps away from the beach and a few minutes walking distance to restaurants and cafés. Magnificent view overlooking Fossacesia Marina and the Adriatic coastline. Well-equipped kitchen with direct access to a beautiful terrace with dining table and chairs. The house is perfect for a family or a large company with four bedrooms on the ground floor. Fossacesia is a small village but has nice traboccos, beaches and restaurants to offer. The beaches are clean and the locals are very friendly. As the hosts recommend, a car is needed for the stay in Fossacesia as there aren't any supermarkets in the village and the bus goes irregularly. Gail and Vince are very nice, friendly and helpful hosts making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. They also took us to the supermarket and the local vineyard and helped out with information regarding local transportation. Gail and Vince live in an apartment on the third floor of the house. We shared the entrance of the house but throughout our stay we felt that our privacy was respected by the hosts. It was our first experience in this region and we'll definitely be back. We are happy to recommend a stay in Gail and Vince's beautiful villa!"

"Ten of us stayed at the Palazzo and it lived it up to all expectations. We ranged from 11 years to 74 years, and all loved the house. The property was spacious, cool, and well-maintained. We really loved that beach towels, sun loungers, inflatables, and parasols were all available to use on the beautiful beach opposite the Palazzo. We went swimming every day! We had breakfast on the side terrace every morning with a view of the sea, and used the terrace at the rear of the building in the evenings. We cooked a lot of meals and the kitchen was just fab. Vince and Gail were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this property and would like to think we will return one day."

"Our family of four and our friend's (family of 6) spent two weeks at Gail and Vincenzo's Italian dream villa! It is situated across from a beautiful, clean, and family-friendly beach. The immaculate, well-equipped villa has waterfront views from every room. Firstly, Gail and Vincenzo are stellar hosts, who feel like family by the end of your stay. They take care of you and are there for whatever you might need. They clearly love the life that have created and that joie de vivre is felt in their home and their presence. You leave hoping you too can one day retire on the Adriatic coast! But until then ... you can visit Gail and Vincenzo. The huge kitchen is perfect. We cooked lavish meals and they have everything you might need to do so. I was heating milk for a coffee and moments later Vincenzo came down with a milk-frother. That's just one example of how they are committed to making your stay comfortable and pleasurable. The giant veranda out back is perfect for meals and relaxing outdoors. There is a 15-minute cycle on the washing machine (super convenient) and a line to hang clothes outside. All of the beds were super comfortable and the pull-out couch in the living room was great to have for guests that visited. Three showers with great water pressure and hot water. We spent most of our time relaxing at the beach and the house, but there is so much to discover in Abruzzo. Vincenzo brought us to Lanciano and brought us to all of the best local spots for fruits/veggies, cheeses, meats, wines, and local specialties. We left Gail and Vincenzo's feeling refreshed and recharged. We will definitely go back!"

"Our stay at this property was absolutely delightful. The hosts, Gail and Vince, made us feel like family. They told us about some 'must see' locations in the surrounding area and they were not wrong. A highlight was our visit to Ortona to see the 1943 Battle of Ortona Museum and Moro River Canadian War Cemetery, both tributes to the Canadian effort during this war time -- very moving. We would have never known about this if not for our hosts. We enjoyed wonderful wine and food, thanks to Vince and Gail's suggestions. The property itself was more than adequate for our group of eight, with plenty of living space for everybody. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives."

"We had a fabulous time in Fossacesia. Communication with the owners before we arrived was excellent and we received prompt replies to our e-mails, meaning that there were no unanswered questions before we got there. We travelled as a party of four adults, one teenager, three children, and a baby. All of us absolutely loved our time there; all our differing needs were catered for by both the villa and the area. There was so much room, we were never on top of each other. Attention had been paid to the detail -- right down to separate boilers for all the bathrooms so we could all get ready to go out at once. There was nothing we would have wanted to change -- it was perfect! And as for Vince and Gail -- you would be hard-pushed to find a couple so helpful. Nothing, and I mean nothing, was too much trouble for them. We had an issue with our car; Vince took us back and forth to the garage, translating for us and even trying to bargain the price. Their knowledge of the surrounding area meant that there was always plenty to do! Vince even drove us to the vineyard for wine tasting -- probably aided us to drink too much and buy too much wine. (I must add it is absolutely gorgeous.) I would thoroughly recommend this place and we are hoping to go back!"

"This is the 5th year that we have stayed in this amazing waterfront holiday home. The location description is spot-on, making it very easy to access both the public and private beach. If you want to use the public beach, the owners of the house have more than enough sunbeds, umbrellas, and beach towels for you not to have to worry about bringing your own. The house we have always found to be extremely clean, well-maintained and containing everything that you would need to make your stay very comfortable. We are a family of five, and considering this is our 5th year, we are always discovering new places to eat and there is never a shortage of places to visit. What makes it very comfortable for us is that Gail and Vince are always available to ask questions and point you in the right directions -- should it be booking restaurants, finding a chemist, or telling you the best places to food shop and (most important) where to buy your wine from! So a very big thank you to Gail and Vince for giving us another wonderful summer holiday."

"We have been to Italy many times, and each time has been great. This trip was beyond great, mainly due to our hosts, Gail and Vince. The setting was beautiful and the accommodations were spotless and perfect as shown in the pictures. Vince's knowledge of the local towns and recommendations for places to eat and visit made our vacation worry free. If you like good food, beautiful scenery and great people, this is the place to stay. We give it a 5 star rating out of 5 stars."

"Staying at this villa right on the beautiful Adriatic coast would be a great holiday experience but add in the presence of the owners Gail and Vince and it becomes something very special. They are always happy to assist in any way that they can to make your stay perfect - nothing is too much trouble for them when it comes to helping you get the most out of what amazing Abruzzo has to offer. The pictures are better than words to show how beautiful the house and gardens are. How many places can you wander from the house and depending on the season pick lemons, clementines, figs, strawberries, grapes and nuts? And just outside the front of the house is the lovely Fossacesia blue flag beach and historic Trabocchi coast."

"We are returning 'guests' of Vince and Gail. The 'guest' word is probably not realistic as we are more like family, than guests! They were so helpful in making our stay relaxing and being able to get away. Of course, waking up and looking out the window at the Adriatic Sea with beautiful weather certainly helps! This is a fantastic place to stay any time of year, especially if you want to see the Abruzzo (east) side of Italy. We were able to drive our rental from Rome in less than 3 hours. Having relatives in Italy is certainly a bonus for our family, but if you don't have relatives, Vince and Gail can fill in, to make your stay comfortable and take the stress of being in a different country, as they will provide you with things to do, places to go, information, and even hang out, and dare I say, drink wine with you if you want!"

"This was our second visit to this wonderful vacation villa! We were thrilled that the place was available for our three-couple traveling party. Vince and Gail are wonderful hosts, doing everything they can to make your stay perfect. The house is everything you hope for, and more with a fabulous gourmet kitchen, ensuite baths, large living spaces and the peaceful large terrace in the back. It is only steps to the beach and an easy walk into the little town with shops and restaurants. Also, having a fast WiFi Internet connection was essential for us to keep in touch with home and, unfortunately, work while on vacation. Definitely an A+++ property with fabulous hosts. We will be back!"
